Volunteer Connection recognizes the importance of engaging youth in volunteerism. Increasingly, middle and high schools, Honor Societies, sports teams, and Scout troops are requiring volunteerism. Volunteerism is an excellent way to build awareness of and educate youth about community needs. It is also provides an opportunity to build self-esteem, explore career opportunities through service-learning and make new friends, all while giving something back and having fun.

These opportunities can be viewed two ways:

1 - Youth Connection Guide

We are happy to provide this free, valuable resource to our community. We work with over 400 local nonprofit, government and grassroots organizations to compile this guide. 2 - Search our 1-800-volunteer.org database

The organizations that we work with continually update their volunteer needs. Our online database will show you the most current opportunities available.

Search the database. Enter your zip code and any additional parameters such as times of day, days of week and be sure to scroll down to the "WHO" section and check the age-appropriate box(es). Once you set your parameters, click on the search button.
