Eddie Slater is one of many cheerful, motivated volunteers that devote their time to Community Food Share, an organization that delivers food to those in need.
Slater is a diligent volunteer who, on a typical day of work, might be found in the warehouse organizing and preparing food or helping with transportation. Slater enjoys the constant activity and upbeat attitude that Community Food Share offers, and says there is "always something to do."
One of the most worthwhile experiences Slater has had during his volunteer work is delivering groceries to elders and others with limited access to the outside world.
Along with the camaraderie and teamwork that go along with volunteering, Slater finds that the volunteers are treated very well, and that the experience is not only lots of fun, but also very rewarding and a great outlet.
"I am grateful for the opportunity I have been given. This experience has added more structure and fun to my life. It's helped me out a lot."
