Be an Ambassador!

Volunteer Connection's 6th Annual I Volunteer! Day

Take on a Leadership role!
Gain valuable leadership and project management skills while meeting new people, having fun and making a lasting impact on Boulder County!

Volunteer Connection is looking for 50 ambitious and enthusiastic volunteers to serve as Ambassadors for this event.

The role of Ambassador is as follows:

Pre-event:

Communicate with Project Sites to discuss/confirm project specifics

Communicate with volunteers to confirm participation, provide Project Site location/directions and advise them of any supplies they may need to bring to the project

Day of Event:

Arrive at Project Site at 7:45am to meet Project Site Supervisor

Confirm project specifics and supervision

Meet and greet volunteers as they arrive; have volunteers sign waiver(s)

Lead a brief orientation to welcome volunteers and inform them about Volunteer Connection and I Volunteer! Day

Introduce Project Site Supervisor(s) who will then thank volunteers for their participation, inform them about their organization's mission and get the volunteers started on the tasks to be completed

Assist with volunteer supervision, work alongside volunteers.

At then end of the day, lead a brief wrap-up. Distribute and collect volunteer evaluations and quantify/qualify work that was completed

Invite volunteers and Project Site Supervisors to the post-event celebratory event!

Post-event:

Complete an evaluation of the event.

Note: Ambassadors are not asked to make the minimum $20 pledge. We greatly appreciate your commitment to assist us with managing this event.

Note: Our goal is to have two Ambassadors at each Project Site. However, based on project size, some sites will only require one. Register as an individual and we'll make every effort to pair you with another Ambassador. Or recruit a friend, family member or co-worker to serve with you. Ambassadors must be able to provide their own transportation and possibly carpool with volunteers.
